GWANGJU, South Korea – UC Irvine head coach Dan Klatt, an assistant coach for the USA Water Polo Women's National Team, helped Team USA win gold at the 2019 FINA World Championships.

Team USA won its 53^rd straight victory and third consecutive World Championship.

UCI assistant coaches Kaleigh Gilchrist and Alys Williams as well as former assistant coach Melissa Seidemann were a part of the USA's 13-player roster for the Championships.

Team USA defeated Spain 11-6 to win the gold medal, claiming a record sixth overall World Championship.
