LONG BEACH, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's track & field team concluded their busy week Saturday at the Beach Invitational.

Freshman
Lorraine Nance established a personal-record 38-08.75 for a top-20 showing in the triple jump. Her mark puts her at No. 7 in school history. Junior
Tatyana Hamlett was also 38th at 35-07.75.

Senior
Barbara Coward had another impressive performance in the discus with a toss of 181-09, which was good for ninth overall. Last weekend, Coward broke her own school record at 186-04. Junior
Brianna Villanueva and freshman
Tayla Crenshaw added marks of 145-10 and 132-02, respectively.

In the shot put, senior
Elizabeth Akindele was 30th out of 89 competitors (45-04.25).

On the track, sophomore
Mikayla Scott crossed the finish line in 56.54 seconds to take 21st in a 400-meter field of 92 runners.

Running into a slight headwind, junior
Imani Jones clocked in at 14.79 seconds in the 100m hurdles.

Senior
Hope Bushnell led a trio of 'Eaters in the 100m with a 24th-place showing (12.11). Sophomore
Natalie Koppel (12.23) and senior
Taisyn Crutchfield (12.85) rounded out the group. It was Crutchfield's first 100m race since 2016.

Bushnell came back later in the day to take 25th out of 98 in the 200m, notching a wind-aided 24.67. Scott had a wind-aided season-best 24.80 (28th), while Jones (25.48) and junior
Cecily Montanez (25.88) also registered season bests.

Julia Sambvani finished 25th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 63.75.

In the 4x100, Crutchfield, Bushnell, freshman
Zani Meaders and Scott placed 10th overall (47.26).

UC Irvine returns to the friendly confines of Anteater Stadium next weekend when it hosts the Steve Scott Invitational, April 26-27.
