‘Eaters Drop Thriller to Northern Arizona

IRVINE Calif. – The UC Irvine men's tennis team was edged by Northern Arizona, 4-3, Friday morning at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

UCI will enter its final regular-season game tomorrow with a 13-7 overall record. NAU, the Big Sky Conference regular-season Champion improves to 20-6 overall.

The match was tied, 3-3, as Aaron Bailey and NAU's Lucas Fisher were battling it out on court six. Fisher took the first set 6-4 while Bailey grabbed the second 6-3. Bailey trailed in the third set but came back to make it 7-6 and send the match to a tiebreaker. Bailey ultimately fell in the tiebreaker, 7-3, as the Lumberjacks earned their match clinching fourth point.

> NAU took the lead after UCI's Sasha Krasnov fell at the top spot, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4)
> Luis Lopez kept the 'Eaters alive after defeating Lucas Taylor on court two in three sets, 6-2, 2-6, 6-1
> The Lumberjacks sealed the win on court six
