RANCHO SANTE FE, Calif. – UC Irvine and San Jose State tied in the second round of match play at the Lamkin Invitational Tuesday.
 
Both teams finished with 2.5 points, but the 33^rd-ranked Spartans advance to the fifth place match based on holes lost during the match.
 
Redshirt freshman Madison Riggs drilled an eight-foot putt on her 18^th holes to tie the match at all-square.
 
Senior Janet Yeo defeated Franziska Friedrich 3&2 and sophomore Cameron Lee topped Alexandra Cooper, 4&3.
 
UCI will face Texas Tech tomorrow in the seventh place match.
