Box Score IRVINE, Calif. – The UC Irvine men's tennis team earned their first dual-match win of the season, defeating St. Mary's (CA.), 5-2, Friday at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

The Anteaters improve to 1-2 on the season, while SMC falls to 0-2 overall.

Doubles
> UCI started with a 1-0 lead, sweeping all three doubles spots
> The duo of Bruce Man-Son-Hing and Luis Lopez got things started with a 6-2 win on court three
> Mateusz Smolicki and Vatsal Bajpai clinched the point with a 6-1 victory at the top spot, defeating Matis Bot and Damon Kesaris
> Mason Hansen and Daniel Gealer grabbed a 6-4 win at No. 2

Singles
> Aaron Bailey made it 2-0 in favor of UCI after beating Andy Watterson 6-2, 6-1
> Hansen fell on court four, 4-6, 4-6, making the match, 2-1
> Smolicki followed with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3, defeating Daniel Krutik
> Sasha Krasnov clinched the match winning at the top spot over Kesaris, 7-6 (5-0), 6-3
