COLFAX, Wash. - Sophomores Sebastian Bautista and Christian Hernandez concluded the 2019 campaign for the UC Irvine men's cross country team Friday at the NCAA West Regional at Colfax Golf Club.
The Anteater duo competed as individuals in their first 10000-meter race of the season.
Hernandez shaved over three minutes off his personal record in the 10K with a time of 33:09.6. He finished 163rd overall.
Bautista wasn't far behind with a lifetime-best 33:11.2 (165th).
Portland won the team championship, while Washington's Andrew Jordan claimed the individual title.
