IRVINE, Calif. --- The Anteaters add a gem to the program in Amethyst Trang.

The tactical midfielder hails from Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and Duarte, Calif. where she's earned First Team all-league honors three times.

"Amethyst is a very insightful player," noted head coach Scott Juniper. "She sees a pass very quickly and will be a player we look at to unlock situations in the attacking third."

Trang has helped lead Sacred Heart on the field as well as Arsenal FC over the past few years on the club circuit. She's played within the Olympic Developmental Pool since 2012 where she helped bring home a regional championship. Much like her fellow incoming 'Eater, she has sights set on the medical fields academically and becoming a doctor while dissecting things in the midfield for the Anteaters.
