IRVINE, Calif. –
Brandon Lucas has been named the Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week following his performances in the Mondo Team Challenge.
The junior won the 200m race, while running into a headwind, with a personal best of 21.08 seconds. This result puts Lucas at seventh all-time in school history. He also became the first Anteater to finish top-10 in the 200m since 2008.
Lucas also had a great showing in the 100m race as he came in second with a lifetime-best 10.60 second time. With that finish, Lucas sits at sixth place all-time among the UCI career leaders in the 200m.
UCI's next competition will be on Friday (April 6) at Anteater Stadium for the 26
th annual Big West Challenge. The Anteaters will be hosting Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, and UC Santa Barbara.
