IRVINE, Calif. – Brandon Lucas has been named the Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week following his performances in the Mondo Team Challenge.  

The junior won the 200m race, while running into a headwind, with a personal best of 21.08 seconds.  This result puts Lucas at seventh all-time in school history. He also became the first Anteater to finish top-10 in the 200m since 2008.

Lucas also had a great showing in the 100m race as he came in second with a lifetime-best 10.60 second time. With that finish, Lucas sits at sixth place all-time among the UCI career leaders in the 200m.

UCI's next competition will be on Friday (April 6) at Anteater Stadium for the 26^th annual Big West Challenge. The Anteaters will be hosting Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, and UC Santa Barbara.
