STOCKTON, Calif. – The UC Irvine men's tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to Pacific Satruday at Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.

Junior Luis Lopez and sophomore Daniel Gealer highlighted the day for the Anteaters as they each won their respective singles matches. In the top spot, Lopez came from behind to defeat the Tigers' Chinamo by a score of 0-6, 6-4, 7-6. Gealer also earned a win for the 'Eaters at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-1.

Lopez and Gealer also teamed up at No. 2 doubles, they led 4-3 before the match was called after Pacific grabbed wins at Nos. 1 and 3 to clinch the point.

Luca Marquard dropped a tough 3-6, 7-5, 6-0 decision at No. 2 singles and Vatsal Bajpai fell on court four, 6-2, 7-6 (8).

Sasha Krasnov was ahead, 6-4, 2-6, 5-3, at the No. 3 spot before the match was called.

Next, UCI will compete at the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship March 1-3 in La Jolla.
