Box Score SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Freshman Sasha Krasnov earned his first collegiate dual-match win but it wasn't enough as UC Irvine suffered a 6-1 loss to Utah Saturday at George E. Eccles Tennis Center.

In just his third dual-match as an Anteater, Krasnov defeated the Utes' Slava Shainyan in three sets, 6-3, 6-7, 10-3, on court three.

The pair of Luca Marquard and Mason Hansen got UCI off to a good start winning No. 1 doubles by a score of 6-3 against Randy Cory/Russel Benkaim. However, the 'Eaters fell on court two and three to ultimately drop the doubles point.

Utah kept the momentum in singles, winning the first five matches before Krasnov got UCI on the board.

Next, the 'Eaters travel to Logan, Utah for a match against Utah State tomorrow at 9 a.m. PT.
