Late Goals Lead UCI Past SJSU, 10-8, in GCC Tournament First Round

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Jack Trush scored two goals in the fourth quarter to lift UC Irvine men's water polo past San Jose State, 10-8, in the first round of the Golden Coast Conference Tournament, Friday at Long Beach State.
With the win UCI improves to 9-15 on the season. The 'Eaters advance to the GCC tournament semifinals and face top-seeded Pacific tomorrow at 1 p.m. The Spartans are eliminated from the tournament and finish the season with a 6-16 record.

> Casey Lynton, Jack Trush and Bryant Joudrie tallied three apiece while Jared Gornay had one
> Byron Rivers played all four quarters in goal and finished with 11 saves and one steal
