Box Score DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis toppled UC Irvine, 3-2 (22-25, 25-15, 25-18, 26-28, 15-7) at The Pavilion Saturday evening.

The Anteaters snapped a five-match winning streak and go to 12-8 overall and 6-2 in the Big West. UC Davis extends its winning streak to three straight and is 12-9 on the year and 4-5 in league action.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
>UCI hit a season-low .115 (50-31-165)
>The Aggies out-blocked 14-9, aced (10-5) and dug (66-75) the Anteaters
>Freshman Abby Marjama led UCI with 12 kills and a career-high 15 digs
>Setter Ali Koumelis totaled 38 set assists, a season-high 17 digs and four kills
>UC Davis had four players with double-figure kills, led by Emily Allen's 15 kills

SET 1
>UCI trailed 3-5 before the Anteaters went on a 5-0 run which included three Aggie errors, one an ace by Nicole Luszczak, 8-5
>UCD would rally back and tie the set at 9-9 and again at 12-12 before Makayla Wolfe had a kill and a solo block to start a 7-2 spurt and put UCI up 19-14
>An ace by Emily Allen pulled Davis within 24-22, but a Loryn Carter kill ended the set with a 25-22 victory

SET 2
>After an early 5-3 lead the rest if the set was UC Davis rolling to a 25-15 win
>With the Aggies holding a comfortable 23-11 lead, UCI had a little life, but not enough time

SET 3
>UCI scored the first point on a block then watched UC Davis score the next three, 3-1
>Four straight by the Aggies increased the lead to 15-8 forcing a UCI timeout
>The Anteaters hit a season-low -.024 in the set as they fell 25-18

SET 4
>UC Davis kept the momentum going jumping out to a 5-1 lead
>UCI caught fire, out-scoring UC Davis 7-1 to take an 8-6 advantage. Idara Akpakpa had a pair of kills and a solo block in the run
>With the score knotted at 13-13, two UCI attack errors and a Davis ace moved the Aggies to the front 16-13
>UCI responded with a block by Sophie Wood and Akpakpa and two Haley DeSales aces to tie it up 16-16
>UCD would lead 23-21 before an Ali Koumelis kill and an Aggie ball-handling error drew even, 23-23
>After trading points, a UC Davis attack error was followed by a Sophie Wood ace for the set winner, 28-26

SET 5
>Four UCI errors and an ace gave the Aggies a 5-1 lead that they wouldn't relinquish as they toppled the Anteaters 15-7
>UCD would score the final five points, including a pair of blocks to end the set and the match
