For the first time, UC Irvine will participate in the Chip-N Club Invitational Sunday-Tuesday (Oct. 1-Oct. 3) hosted by Nebraska.
The tournament will be played at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Course. The course plays at Par 72 and 6,221 yards
The tournament tees off the first hole beginning 8:30 a.m. on Sunday and Monday with an 8:45 shotgun start on Tuesday.
The eight-team field includes Boise State, Creighton, Kansas, North Dakota State, Omaha, South Dakota and host Nebraska.
The Anteater team features Kaley In, Avery French, Sabrina Li, Breanne Jones, Janet Yeo. Jacqui Ngo and Madison Riggs will compete as individuals.
The Chip-N Club is the official athletic booster group of the Nebraska golf team

The Anteaters started the season with a 10th place finish at the Colonel Wollenberg Ram Classic (890).
Kaley In (70-76-76) and Avery French (67-78-77) led the Anteaters with a score of 222 to tie for 26th place.
French led the tournament after the first round where she fired a career-low 67. The round of 67 is the second lowest by an Anteater player, behind Jane Chin (2008) and Patty Chawalitmetha's (2007) score of 66.
