Summer success for Anteater golfer
Los Angeles, Calif. – UC Irvine women's golfer Janet Yeo won the Los Angeles City Women's Championship at the Rancho Park Golf Course Sunday.
Yeo, the junior-to-be, had a birdie and eagle on the final two holes to record a final round of one-under par 71 and capture the tournament title with a score of 218 (72-75-71).
Yeo is the second Anteater to win the event as former All-American Jane Chin also won the tournament in 2007.
Yeo will join teammates Kaley In, Joy Kim, Sabrina Li and Jacqui Ngo tomorrow (July 10) at the U.S. Amateur qualifier at the Brentwood Country Club.
