Five Men's Volleyball Players Earn MPSF All-Academic Distinction

WOODLAND, CA – Five UC Irvine men's volleyball players were named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Scholar-Athletes for the 2017 season by MPSF Executive Director Al Beaird.
UCI honorees were Reid Dominguez, David Parker, Dante Chakravorti, Michael Saeta and Tamir Hershko.
Saeta, a senior who is graduating with a M.A. in philosophy, political science and economics, owned the highest GPA among the MPSF honorees with Chakravorti coming in second.
A total of 51 student-athletes were honored from the 11 league institutions.
Student-athletes had a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average, were at least a sophomore academically, completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received and must have competed in fifty percent or more of the institution's matches.
