Day One Complete At Collegiate Beach Championships

HERMOSA BEACH, Calif. – The first day of the USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships was completed Thursday.
The team of Reid Dominguez and Dillon Hoffman went 2-0 with wins over Matthew Yoshimoto/Jake Walenga (21-17, 18-21, 15-10) and Tyler Hedley/Vincent Pizzuti (21-14, 21-10).
Michael Saeta, playing with Lucas Yoder, won his first match 2-0 (21-10, 21-6) over Brian Ross/Bobby Costigan III in 18 minutes.
Both teams are currently tied at the top of their pools.
Scott Stadick and Grant Friedman went 0-2 on Thursday.
The men's pool play action will conclude at noon PT with the quarterfinals starting at 5:00 p.m. PT.
