UC Irvine Heads To Arizona For Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

COMING UP
UCI concludes the regular season at the Wyoming Cowgirl Invitational Thursday and Friday (Apr. 6-7) at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona.
The tournament field includes host Wyoming, Boise State, CSUN, Eastern Washington, Grand Canyon, Montana, Montana State, Nevada, Portland State, Santa Clara, Seattle, Southern Utah, UC Riverside, Sacramento State, Utah Valley, UTEP and Weber State.
The course will play at Par-72 and 6,131 yards.
Teams will tackle 36 holes Thursday beginning with a 7:45 a.m. shotgun start then conclude Friday with 18 holes also starting at 7:45 a.m.
The Anteater squad will feature Kaley In, Sabrina Li, Breanne Jones, Avery French and Janet Yeo.
This will be the last tune-up before the Big West Championships Apr. 16-18 at Oak Quarry Golf Club.
IN THE CLUBHOUSE
The last time out, UCI finished fifth at the Fresno Classic held at the San Joaquin Country Club. The Anteaters recorded a two-day score of 898 (299-297-302).
Janet Yeo led UCI with a fourth place finish, recording a 54-hole total of 217 (73-71-73), her first top-10 finish.
Breanne Jones also posted her first top-10 finish with a ninth place performance of 223 (71-75-77).
