Anteaters Finish Big West Championships In Seventh Place

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – UC Irvine finished seventh at the Big West Championships that concluded Tuesday at the Oak Quarry Golf Club.

The Anteaters improved one shot over the previous two days with a final round of 301 and finished with a 54-hole total of 905 (302-302-301). Cal Poly won the Big West Championship team title (887) and Cal State Fullerton's Martina Edberg earned her second individual conference title (210).

The Anteaters were led by Kaley In with a sixth place finish, her third top 10 finish of the year.  The junior carded a score of 221 (75-72-75).

Sophomore Janet Yeo was tied for 10th with a three day score of 224 (73-75-76). It was her third consecutive top 10 finish.

Junior Breanne Jones tied for 16th with a 226 total (72-78-76), while graduate student Avery French was 33rd with a score of 234 (82-77-75) and freshman Sabrina Li was 38th at 240 (83-78-79).
