IRVINE, Calif. -- Men's volleyball player Aaron Koubi was named Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week after helping UCI clinch a home MPSF playoff match.

Koubi led UCI to wins over No. 8 Pepperdine and No. 9 Stanford with career-highs. The outside hitter recorded 15 kills and a career-best 11 digs versus the Cardinal, his third double-double of the year.

The junior recorded a career-high 21 kills versus Pepperdine, including three in the fifth set to help secure the victory. He also added four digs and three blocks in the win.

For the week, Koubi averaged 4.00 kills, 1.67 digs, 0.56 blocks and 4.39 points per set.

Fourth seed UC Irvine will host fifth seed UCLA Saturday (Apr. 15) in an MPSF quarterfinal match at the Bren Events Center beginning at 7:00 p.m.
