IRVINE, Calif. – Men's volleyball player Tamir Hershko has been named the Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week after helping No. 5 UC Irvine beat No. 8 Pepperdine on the road.

The senior led the Anteaters to the victory over the Waves with 22 kills, which was one shy of his season high. He also added a season-high 11 digs, his first double-double of the year.

The outside hitter leads the team and ranks 12th amongst MPSF players with a 3.19 kill average.

UCI is riding a five match-winning streak and is 16-6 overall. The Anteaters are 10-6 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation already clinching a post-season appearance.

The Anteaters travel to No. 9 Stanford Friday (Mar. 31) for an 8:00 p.m. contest.
