FRESNO, Calif. -- Janet Yeo and Breanne Jones posted top-10 finishes at the Fresno Classic that concluded Tuesday at the San Joaquin Country Club.
Yeo placed fourth with a 54-hole total of 217 (73-71-73), her first top-10 finish. Junior Breanne Jones also posted her first top-10 finish with a ninth place performance of 223 (71-75-77).
The duo led the Anteaters to a fifth place finish with a two-day score of 898 (299-297-302). Nevada won the tournament (891) followed by Cal Poly, UC Riverside and host Fresno State tying for second (893). Cal State Fullerton's Martina Edberg was the medalist (212).
Junior Kaley In (80-74-76) and freshman Sabrina Li (77-77-76) were tied for 30th with a score of 230 and graduate student Avery French tied for 40th at 233 (78-78-77).
UCI will be idle next week for final examinations and resume action at the Wyoming Cowgirl Invitational Apr. 6-7.
