LINCOLN, Neb. -- Janet Yeo was co-medalist at the Chip-N Club Invitational that concluded Tuesday at the Wildnerness Ridge Golf Club.
Yeo carded a three-round total of 218 (73-71-74) to match Nebraska's Audrey Judd for co-medalist honors. It is Yeo's first career individual title and the first win for an Anteater women's player since Hillary Packard won the Lady Aztec Invitational at the Salt Creek Golf Courseon Feb. 17, 2009. Yeo led the tournament field with 14 birdies.
Kaley In (76-81-74) and Avery French (76-76-79) tied for 10th with a 54-hole score of 231. Sabrina Li had her best collegiate finish, tying for 23rd place with a score of 238 (83-79-76). Breanne Jones was tied for 30th at 240 (80-80-80). Jacqui Ngo was tied for 40th with a three-day score of 243 (83-80-80) playing as an individual.
The Anteaters shot a 303 Tuesday, tying for the lowest final round to finish third overall with a score of 914 (305-306-303). Kansas won the team title with a score of 903 followed by host Nebraska at 910.
UCI travels to the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational at the Tacoma County and Golf Club Oct. 16-17.
