Final Results
FRESNO, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's golf team wrapped up action at the Nick Watney Invitational Tuesday at Sunnyside Golf Course.

In their season-opening tournament, the Anteaters placed 14th overall with a score of 906 (304-295-307). BYU claimed the team title for the second year in a row, finishing at 865, which was two strokes ahead of runner-up San Francisco, and nine ahead of Utah in third.

Seniors
David Kim (67-75-81) and
Ryan O'Connor (80-70-73) led the 'Eaters as they tied for 30th with a 54-hole score of 223. O'Connor jumped 14 spots in the individual standings after carding a 2-over 73 in the final round. He had three birdies on the day and was at 2-under through 15 holes.
Kim had a tough time on Tuesday, shooting an 81 (+10) to drop 23 spots. Yesterday, Kim had the second-best round of the tournament after opening play with a 4-under 67.

Senior
Jonathan Young also tied for 64th at 231 (78-74-79), while junior
Ramiz Jamal tied for 69th with a score of 232 (79-79-74). Jamal registered his best round of the tournament at 3-over 74.

Sophomore
Jonathan Kang rounded out UCI's contingent as he tied for 83rd at 238 (81-76-81).
Peter Kuest of BYU was medalist at 3-under 210.

UC Irvine continues the fall season in two weeks when it heads to Simi Valley, Calif., for the Bill Cullum Invitational hosted by CSUN, Oct. 16-17.
