EUGENE, Ore. --- Lloyd Sicard's bid for an Olympics berth came up short Friday in the first round of the 110-meter hurdles at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore.
Sicard, who will be a senior at UCI in the fall, finished seventh in his heat with a time of 14.03 seconds in his Trials' debut at historic Hayward Field. The top three finishers from each of the four heats and the next six fastest overall advanced to Saturday's semifinals.
The Big West Conference co-Athlete of the Year in men's track this past season has won the last two league titles in the 110 hurdles.
