EL PASO, Tex. --- UC Irvine's twin duo of Ali and Kat Facey are still roaring strong in the professional tennis ranks as they prepare for their next tournament.
Felix F. Chavez of the El Paso Times caught up with the sisters after the first day of the Hunt Communities Pro Tennis Classic in El Paso, Texas. The sisters each won their qualifying singles matches, and have two more matches to win to reach the main draw. They will also come together on the doubles bracket later this week.
The sisters said they're "hoping to qualify for the U.S. Open," as their journey towards that goal continues to strengthen with more tennis under their belts.
ITF Tennis has all the draws and results for the tournament that lasts through July 3.
