IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine junior Lloyd Sicard has been named Big West Conference Athlete of the Week in track for the second time this season.
Sicard registered a season-best time of 13.70 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles to finish as the top collegian and third overall in the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational last Saturday.
That time leads the Big West this season and ranks sixth in the West Region and 14th nationally.
Sicard also competed on both relays Saturday, helping the 4x100 to first place in 41.14 and running a 47.7 anchor on the 4x400 that placed second with a season-best 3:11.12.
The reigning conference champion in the 110 hurdles, Sicard has earned the Big West's weekly award five times in his career.
The Anteaters return to action May 13-14 in the Big West Championships at Long Beach State.
