
UC Irvine Ready to Take on Big West Challenge

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine competes in the 24th annual Big West Challenge at Titan Track in Fullerton Friday.
The Anteaters go up against host Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State and UC Santa Barbara in the perennial meet.
Field events begin with the men's hammer throw at 2:30 p.m. First event on the track is the 4x100 relay at 6:00 p.m.
UCI's Lloyd Sicard set a meet record last year when he won the 110-meter hurdles in 13.92. He ranks No. 1 in the Big West this season with a time of 13.91 that he recorded at the UC Riverside Spring Break Classic March 26.
The pace picks up for the 'Eaters next week as they compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Thursday and Friday (April 14-15) and the Beach Invitational at Long Beach State Friday and Saturday (April 15-16).
