IRVINE, Calif. -- Sophomore women's volleyball player Harlee Kekauoha has been named the Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week.
Last week, she led the team with nine kills against No. 14 Hawaii. On Tuesday, the opposite helped UCI to a 3-2 victory over Long Beach State with 11 kills and 10 digs. It is the first time since 2003 that the Anteaters have swept the season series with the Forty-Niners.
Kekauoha is ranked ninth in the country in service aces (49) and 17th in aces per set (0.45). Her 49 aces ranks fifth in the UCI season record books, 10 shy of Kelly Wing's school record of 59 set in 2004. She is one of nine players in the nation to record three triple doubles this season.
The Anteaters end the Big West schedule traveling to UC Davis this Saturday (Nov. 19) then UC Santa Barbara next Wednesday (Nov. 26). UCI concludes the year hosting North Texas on Nov. 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the Bren Events Center.
