IRVINE, Calif. --- Freshman Bryant Joudrie scored a career-high five goals and junior Ryan Warde added four as UC Irvine defeated Chapman, 14-4, in a non-conference game at Anteater Aquatics Complex Tuesday night.

Joudrie scored three of his goals in the second quarter as the 'Eaters broke away from a 3-2 lead after one quarter to go up 9-3 at halftime.  He added two more goals in the third quarter as UCI improved to 8-8 on the season.

Warde scored twice each in the first and third quarters as his four goals were also a career high.  Freshman Ian Fleenor added a pair of first-half goals and junior goalie Matej Matijevic registered 13 saves in the victory.

UCI outscored Chapman, 10-2, in the middle two quarters as the Anteaters snapped a three-game losing streak.

Four different players scored one goal apiece for the Panthers (2-11).

The 'Eaters return to Golden Coast Conference play Friday night with a 7:00 game at San Jose State.  The contest will be played at West Valley College in Saratoga.

UCI travels to La Jolla Sunday to take on UC San Diego in a non-conference game at 12:00 p.m.
