IRVINE, Calif. – Freshman Sebastian Heim of men's tennis has been named Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week after leading the Anteaters to a share of the Big West title.
The freshman out of Speyer, Germany won both of his No. 1 singles matches in straight sets last week. In the 7-0 sweep over Hawaii, Heim defeated the Rainbow Warriors' Nils Schuhmann (6-3, 6-2). Against UC Davis, Heim clinched the match, along with a share of the Big West title, by defeating the Aggies' Alec Adamson (6-1, 6-4).
Heim, along with his teammates, are looking to bring home UCI's fourth Big West Tournament title. With a bye on Thursday, the No. 1 seed 'Eaters will begin play of the tournament on Friday, April 24, at 3:00 p.m. in the Indian Tennis Wells Garden.
