Isaiah Thompson has UCI's Top Finish at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas --- Isaiah Thompson posted UC Irvine's top finish on day one of the Texas Relays in Austin Thursday.
The Anteater sophomore placed ninth in Section A of the 1500 meters with a time of 3:56.52 at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
In the preliminaries of the 400-meter hurdles, Cameron Vaca won his heat and finished 30th overall of 81 competitors with a time of 53.10. Brandon Howard finished 41st in 53.98.
Action continues Friday and Saturday.
