UC Irvine Hosts Concordia In Exhibition Wednesday

UC Irvine will host Concordia Wednesday (Dc. 30) in an exhibition match at the Bren Center beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The Anteaters were picked second in both the AVCA National and MPSF Coaches Preseason Polls.
UCI was 28-5 overall a year ago, advancing to the NCAA semifinals.
The Anteaters return five starters from last year's MPSF Championship team, including first-team All-American Tamir Hershko on the outside and first-team All-MPSF middle blocker Jason Agopian.
Off the Block released several watch lists which included Anteaters. Jason Agopian is on the 2016 National Middle Attacker of the Year list, Michael Seata is on the Lloy Ball Award list, Tamir Hershko is on the Brian Ivie watch list and Kyle Russell is on Karch Kiraly Award list.
UCI will battle all 15 teams on the AVCA's preseason list in 2016.
After hosting Concordia on Dec. 30, UCI will travel to Provo, UT to face George Mason and Loyola-Chicago in BYU's AVCA Showcase on Jan. 8-9. The Anteaters will face George Mason in the regular season opener on Friday and then Loyola the next night. Both matches begin at 3:30 p.m. PT from Smith Fieldhouse.
