UCI continues on the road, traveling to USC Monday (Dec. 28) for a 7:00 p.m. tip at the Galen Center then on to Bakersfield Sunday (Jan. 3) for a 1:00 p.m. contest in the Icardo Center.
This will be the first meeting with USC. The Trojans are undefeated at 11-0 and are receiving votes in the USA Today and Associated Press national polls.
Bakersfield leads UCI 9-2 in the series records. The Roadrunners defeated UCI 80-70 last year at the Icardo Center.
The Roadrunners are 2-11 and will take on Hawaii on Wednesday before entertaining the Anteaters.
CSUB lost 83-41 to No. 11/12 Stanford in Palo Alto the last time out.
The Anteaters are looking to snap a four-game losing streak, coming off a 126-78 loss at Sacramento State on Dec. 22.
The Hornets'126 points are the most given up in school history and the most ever scored by Sacramento State. Sac State's 126 points were the most scored on UCI since Bakersfield had 104 in 2011.
UCI tied its season-high with 78 points, but committed a season-high 38 turnovers.
Forward Chloe Kellum came off the bench to lead UCI with a career-high 16 points in 12 minutes of action. She went 7-9 from the floor and 2-2 from the line, while collecting a season-high four rebounds.
Mokun Fajemisin recorded double-digit points for the fourth time this year, scoring 12 on 5-7 shooting from the field.
UCI shot a season-high .500 (34-68) from the floor, bettering Sacrmento State's .489 (44-90).
The Anteaters have out-rebounded the last two opponents, topping the opposition on the glass four times this year.
UCI's Raelyn Cheung-Sutton is ranked 17th in the nation in assists per game (6.3). She ranks eighth nationally with 76 assists. The senior dished a career-high 12 assists against Nevada and Southern Utah which is the most in the Big West this season and the 15th most in the country this year.
Mokun Fajemisin is third in the Big West in rebounding (8.3) and second in blocked shots (1.82). The forward tops the conference in defensive rebounds with a 6.2 mark. She leads the team averaging 9.0 points per game.
Shereen Sutherland is second in scoring with an 8.6 average. She ranks 11th in the league in field goal percentage at .457 (42-92).
UCI will remain on the road for one more game, opening the Big West slate at UC Riverside on Jan. 6. That game will be shown on ESPN3. UCI returns to the Bren Center on Jan. 9, hosting Cal Poly at 2:00 p.m.
