Senior Dominique Dunning and his UC Irvine teammates open the 2015-16 schedule Saturday night, hosting Vanguard University in an exhibition game at 7:00 in the Bren Events Center.

The 'Eaters, coming off the program's first NCAA Division I Tournament appearance last March, open the regular season Nov. 13 facing UC San Diego, also in the Bren Center at 7:00 p.m.

BY THE NUMBERS

27 – He played in 27 games last season, averaging 4.2 points and 4.0 rebounds.

11 – The senior from Corona scored a season-high 11 points in the Dec. 31 win over Hampden-Sydney.

10 – He snared a career-high 10 rebounds in the victory over Hampden-Sydney and added a career-high three assists.

8 – Dunning, who was a 2011 finalist for Mr. Basketball in California while at Centennial High, grabbed eight rebounds in games last season against Hawai'i, Bradley and Fresno State.
