UC Irvine will travel to Southern Utah Thursday (Nov. 19) for a 6:00 p.m. PT contest in Centrum Arena and UNLV on Saturday (Nov. 21) at 2:00 p.m. at Cox Pavilion.
This week starts a string of four games away from the Bren Center.
UC Irvine beat Southern Utah 59-57 in the lone previous meeting in 1989.
The Thunderbirds (0-1) will travel to Utah Valley on Tuesday before hosting UCI.
UNLV defeated Southern Utah, 79-44, to open the regular season.
UNLV owns a 28-4 advantage in the series records and has won the last four meetings with the Anteaters, including an 85-73 contest in Irvine in 2007.
UCI and UNLV plus UC Santa Barbara were the three original members of Big West women's basketball conference in 1983-84.
UNLV was a member of the Big West Conference from 1983-95.
The Rebels (1-0) will face Pepperdine Tuesday.
UCI started the season with an 85-63 loss to St. John's last Sunday.
Transfer Mckenzie Piper had an impressive Anteater debut with 16 points and five rebounds.
Shereen Sutherland posted eight points, while Raelyn Cheung-Sutton and Irene Chavez each added seven points.
Mokun Fajemisin grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
UCI used a balanced attack as 10 different Anteaters scoring at least two points and grabbed at least one rebound.
