UC Irvine Finishes Fourth in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- UC Irvine's Isaiah Thompson and Branden Randall registered top-10 finishes at the Highlander Invitational in Riverside Saturday.
The Anteater duo helped UCI to a fourth-place finish in the meet at the UCR Agricultural Operations Course.
Thompson was third with a time of 17:51.01 over 6,000 meters and Randall placed ninth in 18:11.92.
UCI's Nolan Del Valle finished 24th (18:40.33), David Aguilar was 31st (18:47.28), Izzak Mireles placed 35th (18:53.38), Jonathan Rodriguez 36th (18:54.22) and Andrew Graciano 49th (19:18.00).
Gilbert Kigen of Central Arizona won the race with a time of 17:37.55.
Long Beach State captured the team title with 49 points, Central Arizona was second with 63, Cal State Fullerton finished third with 76 and UCI was fourth with 96 points.
The 'Eaters are back in Riverside for the Big West Conference Championships Oct. 31.
