Samantha Chan Posts Career-Best Day To Lead UC Irvine at Rose City Collegiate

Aurora, Ore. – Sophomore Samantha Chan is in second place after the first two rounds of the Rose City Collegiate at the Langdon Farms Golf Club.
Chan carded a career-best 143 for 36 holes and posted a career-best single round of 70 on the second round. Chan trails Cal State Fullerton's Tisha Alyn Abrea (142) by one shot heading in to the final round.
Freshman Joo Youn Seo is tied for 11th with a score of 149 (76-73), while sophomore Kaley In is tied for 21st with a total of 151 (77-74) and junior Kristin Henno is tied for 46th with a 157 (78-79). Freshman Kelsey Kawaguchi is tied for 57th with a score of 158 (81-77).
The Anteaters are in third place after the first day with a score of 598 (304-294). Cal State Fullerton leads the 13-team field at 587 (296-291)with San Francisco in second place (588). Host Portland State is fourth (603) and Idaho rounds out the top five (604).
