
Alex Tebbe is UCI's Top Runner at Mustang Challenge

Mustang Challenge Men's Results
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. --- Senior Alex Tebbe led UC Irvine in the Mustang Challenge Saturday at Central Park in Santa Clarita.
Tebbe covered the 8,000-meter course in 26:26.2 to finish 13th in the field of 166 competitors.
Matt Neev of UCI placed 25th in 26:37.8, Eric Enriquez was 44th (27:06.8), Jake Williams 63rd (27:49.8), Blake Wanser 65th (28:02.1) and Julian Lujan 101st (30:35.2).
Sacramento State's Jacob Huston was the race winner in 25:46.0.
The 'Eaters placed 10th in the team competition with 210 points as Cal State San Marcos won the meet with 72 points. Cal State Fullerton was second with 84 and Sacramento State third with 109.
UCI returns to action next Saturday at the 41st Stanford Invitational. The men's 8,000-meter race is set to begin at 9:50 a.m. on the Stanford Golf Course.
