FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. --- The season ended in disappointing fashion for UC Irvine's Lloyd Sicard at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Fayetteville, Ark., Saturday.

The Anteater freshman clipped a hurdle and fell during his race in the 110-meter hurdles, stopping his attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Sicard was Big West Conference Freshman of the Year this season and he already ranks No. 3 in UCI history with a time of 14.01 seconds that he recorded at the conference meet in Davis May 17 to finish as runner-up.
