LOS ANGELES --- Junior Mason Miller led UC Irvine at the Oxy Invitational Saturday as he recorded a pair of top-10 finishes.
Miller finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 55-3 and he placed eighth in the discus with a throw of 150-5.
Senior Stephen Brown finished sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 15-3 and Brandon Howard was seventh in the 400-meter hurdles in 53.67.
Tommy Newton-Neal placed ninth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:23.26.
The 'Eaters travel to Davis for the Big West Conference Track & Field Championships Friday and Saturday at Toomey Field and Woody Wilson Track.
