INDIAN WELLS, Calif. --- Second-seeded UC Irvine scored a 4-0 sweep of Cal Poly to open the Big West Tournament at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Anteater doubles scored the early point capped by Kat Facey and Sarah Stadfelt's 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.

UCI (16-6, 7-1) captured the first three singles points to clinch all in straight sets finished off by Kat Facey's 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles.

UCI advances to the Big West Tournament semifinals on Sat. Apr. 26. Their 9:00 a.m. match pits them against third-seeded Hawai'i.
