UC Irvine Ends Regular Season Schedule At The Gold Rush

OFF THE TEE
The Anteaters will participate in The Gold Rush presented by Farmers Insurance Monday-Tuesday (Apr. 7-8) at the Yorba Linda Country Club.
The 54-hole tournament starts with 36 holes on Monday and finishes with 18 holes on Tuesday. Both days will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
The course plays at 6,077 yards and a Par 72.
The tournament field includes Boston College, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Gonzaga, Idaho, Northern Arizona, San Francisco, UC Riverside and host Forty-Niners.
UCI finished third at last year's event with a three-round score of 938 (316-314-308).
This is the final tune-up before the Big West Championships Apr. 13-15 at the San Luis Obispo Country Club.
Six of the eight Big West teams will be competing at The Gold Rush.
IN THE CLUBHOUSE
Last time out, UC Irvine finished 13th at the San Diego State Farms Invitational at the Farms Golf Club.
The Anteaters stayed in 13th place from start to finish, ending with a 56-hole total of 936 (313-311-312).
Freshman Kaley In led the Anteaters with a 29th place finish after recording a 225 (76-72-77).
Senior Ronnie Valerio shot a team-low 72 on the final round and finished in a tie for 47th at 231 (78-81-72).
In owns a 75.71 scoring average over 14 rounds this season. Over the last five rounds, In has recorded a 74.20 scoring mark.
