IRVINE, Calif. --- UCI returned to its winning ways with a one-sided effort over visiting Boston College Thursday afternoon at Anteater Stadium dispatching them, 6-1.
The doubles point came down to Ryan Cheung and Jonathan Poon who pulled away at the end for the 8-5 victory to claim the deciding set and the doubles point.
Singles saw four of six opening sets go the 'Eaters' way. Ryan Cheung sealed things at No. 1 with a 7-6 (4), 6-3 sweep for the deciding point. Jonathan Hammel added a come-from-behind win taking No. 3 singles, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2.
UCI (3-9, 0-1) is back at it tomorrow, Fri. Mar. 7, with a 1:30 p.m. match against UNLV.
