IRVINE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's track and field team registered three individual titles Saturday in the Spring Break Invitational at Anteater Stadium.
Freshman Isaiah Thompson won a race for the second straight week as he placed first in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.22. He was victorious in the 1500 the previous Saturday.
Brandon Howard, another UCI freshman, won the 400-meter hurdles in 53.02 and Cameron Vaca was fourth in 54.60.
Junior Mason Miller finished first in the shot put with a mark of 55-9 and he placed third in the discus throw at 153-2.
Lloyd Sicard was second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.29, sixth-fastest in UCI history. James Douglas placed fifth in 14.61 and Kyle Hubbard was sixth in 14.84.
Stephen Brown finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 15-7.
The 'Eaters finished fourth with 93 points as Cal State Fullerton was first with 150. Northern Arizona was runner-up with 138 points and UC Riverside was third with 94.
UCI competes in the UC Riverside Spring Classic Thursday through Saturday (Mar. 27-29).
