SEATTLE, Wash. --- Itos Aikhionbare and Megan George led the UC Irvine women's indoor track and field team at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships that concluded Saturday in Seattle.
Aikhionbare finished fourth in the shot put with a personal indoor-best mark of 50-3 ¼.
George placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles final with a time of 8.65 seconds at Dempsey Indoor.
Chelsea Schneider finished 12th of 26 runners in the 800 meters in 2:14.90 and Ericka Nowell was 29th overall in the 400 meters with a time of 56.80.
Lauren Ellison finished 15th in the triple jump with a mark of 36-3 and Rebecka Miranda was 16th at 36-2 ¾.
UCI finished 14th in the team standings with eight points.
The Anteaters open the 2014 outdoor schedule next Saturday (March 8) in the All-UC Meet at La Jolla.
