Irvine, Calif. --- UC Irvine men's soccer forward Cameron Iwasa has been named this week's Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week.
In the program's 31 years of existence, Iwasa became the first Anteater to be named a semifinalist for the Mac Hermann Trophy. The senior helped lead UC Irvine to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. In the first round against UNLV, Iwasa scored two goals in a 3-2 Anteater victory, and then set up the game winning goal to Michael Sperber in the 97th minute to upset sixth-seeded Stanford, 1-0, in the second round of the tournament.
Iwasa started all 25 games this season and is tied for most all-time matches played with 85 appearances. He finished the season tied for the team lead with 18 points, including six goals and six assists.
