Box Score IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine women's basketball player Shereen Sutherland has been named the Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week.
Sutherland led UCI with a career-high 17 points versus the University of San Diego. She shot 6-9 from the floor and grabbed two rebounds against the Toreros.
It was the second consecutive game, the forward improved on her career-high. The sophomore is averaging 14.0 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting .588 (10-17) from the field over the last two games.
For the season, the University of Arizona transfer is averaging 6.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
UCI will take on Bakersfield tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Bren Events Center, before heading to Purdue to participate in the BTI Invitational Friday-Sunday (Dec. 19-21).
