Anteaters Tabbed Fifth In MPSF Coaches' Preseason Poll

Irvine, Calif. – The UC Irvine men's volleyball team was tabbed fifth in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Coaches' preseason poll.
UC Irvine, who was picked to finish eighth in the AVCA national preseason poll, totaled 83 points to place fifth in the conference.
Pepperdine, who boasts of one the most experienced lineups in the country in 2015, with five returning senior starters, plus the libero, was picked to finish first. UCSB was picked second, while USC is third and UCLA fourth. BYU was sixth, Hawaii seventh, Cal State Northridge eighth then Stanford, Long Beach State, Cal Baptist, and UC San Diego complete the poll.
The Anteaters begin the 2015 season hosting Lewis on Jan. 5 at the Bren Center and start MPSF competition at Long Beach State Jan. 17.
