MALIBU, Calif. --- Junior Tyler Pham and freshman Sebastian Heim each played their way through to the round of 16 in the ITA West Regionals in Malibu, Calif.
The pair swept their way through their first three matches. Pham was taken down by Stefan Menichella of host school Pepperdine while Heim took No. 93 Dennis Mkrtchian of UCLA into a third set before having to retire.
Rafael Davidian reached the round of 32 before falling to No. 13 Mackenzie McDonald of UCLA while newcomer, Nico Mertens, joined him with a pair of wins.
The 'Eaters kicked off their fall slate, and will continue with two more fall tournaments coming in the next couple week. Complete results from the weekend are below:
