Big West Award Once Again for Kaycee Holcomb

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine junior Kaycee Holcomb has claimed her second Big West Conference Athlete of the Week award in women's cross country this season.
Holcomb toured the 5,000-meter course in 18:07.20 last Saturday to finish fifth in the Mustang Challenge Division I Invite at Central Park in Santa Clarita as the Anteaters placed third in the team competition.
Holcomb also won the Big West's weekly honor following the season-opening adidas/UCI Invitational Sept. 7 when she finished sixth of 134 runners.
The Anteaters compete in the NCAA Preview meet at Sacramento's Haggin Oaks Golf Club Oct. 4.
